Maintaining multiple pages

You can maintain multiple pages, e.g. your private page and one or more shared pages.

If you select the 'Remember me' option when logging in for more then one page, MyPIP.com will remember that you maintain multiple pages on this PC and offer you extra possibilities to make live easier. You can:

  • Log in quickly by selecting one of the pages from the login selection list.
  • Login to another page from your personal page in one click.
For this, move you mouse to the empty line between the ‘user ...’ and menu on the right top corner. You will then see the names of the other pages you maintain if you move the mouse over this empty line. Click on one of these names to login on that page.
(NB: the names will not show op in old Netscape browsers.)
  • Using ‘Add to MyPIP’ you can add a link to any page you maintain.
  • When editing a group you can also move links to another page.

But watch out: these extra options are only available for pages you logged in for with the option ‘Remember me on this PC’ selected, so a cookie has been stored on disk for all these pages.

Watch out for multiple users maintaining one page!

Watch out if more than one user is maintaining a page. MyPIP.com has not been designed for that and problems can occur when more then one user is changing a page: changes by another user can be lost, etc.

So one user maintaining one page is the best. But if there need to be more users maintaining the same page, do not do this at the same time, or always refresh the page before you start changing something (edit group or link, add link, etc.) and stay as short as possible in the maintenance page.
